Welcome + a giveaway!

If you are popping over from Sew Mama Sews Handmade Holiday then Welcome! Handmade Holidays is one of my favorite online holiday traditions and I am so happy to be a part of it this year.
I hope you like the list of tutorials I put together. I got a start on some of my sewing and made this adorable Tea Time Trivet from Rashida Coleman Hale- it's on the list I put together for today. I also have a Daschund Pencil Case from Jessica Abbott  in the works and it is the cutest pattern!
I love the idea of these gifts being a jumping off point- the tea time trivet is perfect packaged with some of my favorite tea and some cute teacups and I have some amazing Japanese pens to go in the pencil case. On my sidebar over there on the right there is a list of printables just for you including a few different designs of tags, cards and the recipe cards I showed on Saturday. And in the spirit of all this holiday fun, I am giving away a set of fat quarters of my new line, Hothouse Flowers. Just leave me a comment telling me something you can't wait to make for Christmas or the best gift someone has made for you. I will draw a name next week.

I can't wait to make a baby quilt (I just started cutting it). My sister is pregnant and my niece (Zosia:) will be born around Christmas.

I am making my husband a herringbone quilt, and he has no idea. He thinks I'm just playing with the fabrics while I try a new technique. He's seen a bit of it, now I just need to stealth sew the rest when he's not home!
Your fabric line is beautiful. I love the circles/dots and the bright colors. Thank you!

I am already busy making table runners, cloth napkins, new hot pads and oven mitts. Such a lovely gift for anyone because no matter how long (or short) you've been married or had your own kitchen, everyone needs something new.

Here in central Indiana, it's Quilts for all this year! 7 grands, 3 sets of momma&daddy, a new grand niece due this month and one for hubby. Only 1 to go! Your tea trivet is my favorite; so la-ti-da! Love the fabric.

I'm so glad to find you! Coming over from SewMamaSew. Love your Daschund Pencil Case! I've had several of the dogs over the years and they are just great. My last one passed away awhile ago. This will be a must do project, hehe. I have a tablerunner I'm making for my sister and some zippered pouches as gifts. I have a long list and sadly I'm getting short in days. Thanks for the patterns!

Thank you for a super giveaway and a chance to win.

I haven't gotten to holiday list planning so...anything handmade will end up being fairly straight-forward! Last year I made my niece a fabric "memory" game which was SO satisfying -- my sister is a quilter and loves fabric, so it felt like sharing fabric love with her daughter was a gift to both.

Thanks for the great giveaway -- what a fun fabric line!! (mailergoat at yahoo).

I love these ideas. I am making travel pouches for jewelry for my girlfriends. They have 4 zipped pockets & magnetic snap closure. And I get to dig into my 'girlie' fabric stash, big time!

Whoops! In the above post, "Barry McPhee" is my husband...I am actually Sarah M. He's a great guy, but I don't think he has a crafty bone in his body! And I'm still giggling at the thought of his girlie fabric stash...the man lives in flannel and broken down jeans. Don't count this post toward the giveaway, of course!
