Christmas goodies!

I absolutely adore this time of year. All the lights on the houses and the super cheesy holiday movies and all of the fun family times around warm fireplaces. We are going to go get our tree this weekend. I feel so fortunate to have this family of mine and feel the closeness with them in such a sweet time of year. It gives me a twinge of sadness though when I think of kids who don't have families that they can look forward to these things with. That is why when I saw the project Lyanna put together over at Purple Panda Quilts, I got on board right away. She has coordinated an effort to get folks to make stockings that will be given to Foster kids. She even made it good and easy by putting lots of really great stocking tutorials on her blog. This is the stocking I made- I love that print. I hope the kid that receives it loves it too!
