Isn't she beautiful? All captive in her bottle amidst a rainshower of falling gold flakes. I don't know why but I am such a sucker for this type of thing but I am. Someone gave it to my sister as a gag gift for her fortieth birthday and I immediately coveted her. Who thought this up? In the age of mass produced in China plastic heavy trinkets, I think the thought and quality behind something like this is so wonderful. This is the full view of her:
It was a nice low key birthday which is how I like them. We went to an outdoor concert and saw lots of people we knew and listened to some good blues. In blog tradition, I will be sending out a little box of goodies as I do on each of my birthdays. How about leave a comment with a suggestion for a name for the lady trapped in the booze bottle. I will pick someone randomly sometime soon. I have already started putting things aside for it and the goal of the box of goodies is to be just plain fun stuff and I will say there is some fun stuff in it already.
Have a great fourth!!

I think her name should be Cloe! She is a lovely trapped figurine.
My suggestion for her name would be Antionette. A lovely French name for a lovely French figurine trapped in a bottle.
I'm thinking Lola or Marie or Giselle but Lola really strikes me the most
Sabine. her name is sabine.
Nah, her name is Marlena. You can just tell from her dark hair and shaking hips.
I love her, too.
Delphine I think. What a cool find!
How about Adalene or Raina? Great find!
I think her name should be Clotilde.
I'd name her PollyAnna because it look slike she's making the best of a bad situation ( being in a booze bottle : )Thanks for hosting a giveaway! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
Nicole... love the figurine, very pretty! And MUCH better than those Made in China trinkets that are too plentiful today! and thank you for having a giveaway, happy 4th!
Perhaps Cosette? From Les Miserables? Happy Birthday! Thanks for posting a giveaway! Lori
Gigi -- doesn't she look like a Gigi?!
I've asked her, and her name is Joliete although as a young girl she was simply known as Julie....
Oh, good grief ~ and Happy Birthday!
Her name... Hmmm...
Brunilda- Which means "Armored Warrior woman"
Ofelia- Meaning "Help"
I am laughing so hard at that last one, that I must now go to bed at 2:30 in the AM. I think her name is Ofelia, you must help her out of the bottle.
Happy birthday fellow Cancer!
Good night!
I say the name is Waimea!

I would suggest Eugenia. Not French but it reminds me of my grandmother. My grandparents used to have this and I now have it. I used to spend hours watching the ballerina spin around. I've never seen another one.
Yay! Your friend had a baby on the same day as my birthday!
Happy Cancer baby :)
Her name is "Madame Rouge a la Rhum" which loosely translates as: "Red Lady in a bottle of rum". The skirt! The gold snow! Mon Dieu!
Pam
Hmm I think Francesca is a lovely name! :)
Does Chesty LaRue sound french-y enough?
