Six!

My girl is six. She celebrated yesterday with lots of sugar, lots of family and lots of fun. Her big party is Saturday. We are doing a good old fashioned at home party with only girls. This is the first time either kid has opted for all one gender and it was sort of fun getting a bit girly with all of the activities and decorations. I will post photos after the party. I have a few vintage birthday party supplies I have been itching to use and this seems the perfect occasion. The dress above I made her to celebrate her turning six. She picked out the fabrics and the pattern and I love how it looks on her. She is pretty tall so it is hard to find dresses long enough without them being too big on the top so it is nice to have a dress that fits her. I will see if I can find the pattern envelope if anyone is interested. It was a good quick easy pattern. I made the little fabric flower and thought it looked nice but she wasn't as enamored with it so off it came. I found the perfect color sparkly beads at the bead store so I will string those up tonight so she the right baubles to go with.

Update on the swap- this must be the least organized swap ever! I am having a little difficulty with the typepad people who left comments- blogger won't let me get back to your blog so I can comment. I will take one more crack at it this weekend.
Happy Friday!!

I bought a FQ pack of the metallic dots print several months ago but I've only seen it one place, ever. The dress prints go together perfectly!
