>I was going to title this post "Chick Love" or something along those lines but you know some guy would end up here via google and this is not what he would be looking for. At any rate, I do love these chicks. They are just this little blob of yellow fluff with tiny beady eyes but I feel like they have such cute little personalities. I am easy to please. Last year M carried a little plastic crib with a bunch of pink fluffy chicks all over the house for a week so she inherited my love of cheesy little fluffy chicks. All of these chicks came to be at my house because M's kindergarten class had 24 eggs in an incubator and the whole class was just abuzz awaiting the hatching of those chicks. To celebrate I bought 2 dozen of these chicks and made little "Yay! the chicks are going to hatch!" goodie bags for her class. As you can imagine, they were a big hit. One of my favorite places in our house is where we put these together. After our offer was accepted on this house (4 years ago this month!) we were walking through and in the downstairs family room there was a restaurant booth in one of the corners. The man we bought the house from asked if we wanted it and we jumped at it. I love the booth- when we are all sitting in it together to play games or do art it just feels really cozy, all of us confined to such a comfy squishy place. I also love that we can just sit at the booth and watch the world (and the squirrels) go by out the window. Which happens very slowy (just how I like it) as we live in such a quiet little neighborhood. I staple vinyl tablecloths on so that we can protect the table from glue blobs and glitter.
