Easter Fun

It has been a nice few days around here. I had a wonderful visit from my best friend who has stuck by my side for the last 27 years. It hardly seems possible to me that we could have known each other so long but we have. She lives pretty far away so any time face to face is pretty special. After she left I was feeling like the cold I had been fighting was finally winning and all I wanted to do was sit down and make something so I could enjoy some quiet and think about our time together. This (above) is what I made. I love easter and had not done a thing to get festive yet and this did the trick. I had been holding onto these walnut shells for eons, knowing what I had planned but just hadn't taken the time to sit down and do it. I have to say I was completely charmed with the outcome. They are so small and sparkly and I love those old velvety flowers. Funny to think Easter is just a week or so away. I better get a few more decorations up so I'm ready. Here are some more photos. One of these little baskets is set to be sent to a lady I know from out there in blogland who probably deserves a tiny treat. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

LoVe, LoVe, LoVe the walnut shell baskets!

Thanks for the well wishes for my son Nathan. He is doing much better. Now he is stuck in standardized testing for the next 3 weeks! Bummer!

What a clever idea! Love how they turned out. Good to hear from you on my blog...I agree that those estate sales have been few and far between. I think we are all due for the motherload of one!

Great idea! I love how teeny tiny your baskets are. What did you use for the little eggs?
